I heard many times about blogging, twittering but not exactly clued what exactly it was . I used to contemplate it might be just a time pass business as people generally did on other social networking. I never valued it as i was having this apprehension and not even tried.
Yes, I was aware of twittering of Shashi Tharoor and Lalit Modi which brought havoc to their respective profession whatever there were issues involved in their twittered words. So undoubtedly Its role was confounded to me... what it was...?
One day I was chatting on G-talk with one of my close friend Nandan Dube , a iitk ComSci. graduate at late night he asked me , " how is IAS preparation going on ? " I answered as usual ,"yaar it`s going on just okay but still it needs to be accelerated with more momentum" . He laughed and told me to follow a blog of one of his batchmate too preparing for IAS , I saw his blog pages in which he had a number of his own anecdotes and some synopsis on current affairs.
My friend told me too to start the same sort of writing for betterment of my writing skills on different issues related to preparation of IAS. In fact, I too realized its importance as it was one of the best platform where I could pen down my thoughts and ideas on relevant topics related to my IAS preparation as well as my interested area on social issues.
I want to write on variety of issues from current to conventional one concerning their societal impact. My prominent thrust area would be Rural development , women empowerment , environmental concern and many more burning issues of national and international importance.
I am avid reader of almost all editorials of leading national dailies viz. The Hindu, The Times of India, The New Indian Express, The Hindustan times etc... and apart from that i religiously follow most of the best columnist of our country for their columns. Gurucharan Das , Vir shanghvi, pratish Nandi, M J Akbar, Swaminomics , C Rajamohan sidarth vardrajan and Mrinal Pandey`s column on different topics are really very worth for essay , Interview as well as General studies preparation. It`s very advisable to follow their columns as per your need while preparing for the same , yes there may be many columns which may not be useful for the IAS preparation point of views but you judiciously anticipate its` usefulness and peruse those word by word. You will develop a lot of interest in current happening as well as many mutable issues of country on which you might have never tried to ruminate.
I have searched a lot of relevant and very useful materials for IAS preparation, so I would be posting those in proper manner under different headings... so keep on tracking this site and enjoy it.
Your suggestions ( in any form criticism or appreciation) would be our strength to work for you as well as myself improvement.
All the best and may God bless all of you!
